WARSAW, POLAND – September 2, 2011 – City Interactive, one of today's fastest-growing publishers of interactive entertainment, today revealed that a new addition to the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise is in development for iOS. Due for release in Q1 2012, Sniper: Ghost Warrior for iPad®, iPhone® and iPod Touch® will translate all the intense long-range precision gameplay of its console counterpart to tablet and mobile.
Currently in development at Vivid Games, based in Bydgoszcz in Poland, Sniper: Ghost Warrior for iOS will be built on Unreal Engine3 from Epic Games Inc. The project – a fully-fledged AAA product – will make use of the Apple device’s unique control interface to bring handheld gamers even closer to the feeling of being an elite and unseen military marksman.
City Interactive’s Global PR & Marketing Manager Jonathan Goddard said: “This new project is being developed from the ground up specifically for iOS devices, which we feel are perfectly suited to the crafting of a truly great sniping experience.”
Remigiusz Koscielny, President of Vivid Games added: “Sniping is poetry in slow motion, up until you pull the trigger. The trigger for upcoming iOS game based on well known “Sniper: Ghost Warrior” franchise has been pulled by a two great Polish companies that teamed up to create premium quality sniping game.
